Time Share Selling Tips
When you decide to sell a time share it is important that you help the buyer to make the right selection.
Often this will depend on what you or your company has to offer, as a good sale person you may need to help your buyer accept a plan or unit that is right for there circumstances.
The process involved in doing this will require you finding out what he expects to receive for his money, who will be vacationing with him, the kind of amenities he wants in a timeshare, and whether there will be children and the age group of people involved.
You will after all want to cater to your buyer’s needs because in the competitive timeshare market, failure to do so will send your buyer to a competitor who will aim to provide exactly what your interested buyer of a time share needs or wants.
Your main aim when selling a timeshare should be to assist the buyer in every way possible. By doing so you will stand a much better chance of making a sale.
When helping your buyer select a timeshare, make sure that you do not mislead the potential buyer in anyway. If he wants something you cannot provide, then make sure that you tell him the truth and let him decide how big an influence that is on his decision to purchase a time share.
If he likes the rest of the amenities, he may overlook something you cannot provide, especially if it is minor. In some cases, you may even be able to accommodate.
For instance, if he wants a refrigerator with an ice maker, and your units don't have ice makers, perhaps on his weeks there, you can provide an ice maker for his unit, or if he will always be staying in the same timeshare as some people do, you may want to change the refrigerator to one that has an ice maker to make the sale.
On the other hand, if your buyer has four children and a wife, and his brother, wife, and their two children always go on vacation with you, and you do not have more than three bedroom units that will not comfortably accommodate ten people, be honest with him, even if it means recommending a timeshare that can meet his needs.
If you treat the buyer with respect he will most definitely recommend you to other potential time share buyers who are looking for what you have to offer.
The most important thing you can do for the interested buyer is help him and his family find the timeshare that will make them happy and give them pleasure on their vacations.
What ever you do, make sure that you do not try to talk them into something you have just to make the sale unless your buyer is willing to compromise.
What you can do is offer him something else, and then let him decide if he is willing to accept that instead of what he had already decided.
Selling a timeshare can be a tricky business, but if you look after your buyers needs first then it will greatly increase your chances of being successful in selling the timeshares that you have on offer.
